Is a water wall noisy?
The pump is the only component of a water wall that can generate sound. To enjoy the relaxing effect of flowing water without any disturbance, it is essential to choose a water wall equipped with a silent pump.
To ensure perfect comfort, Odzo equips all its water walls with the quietest pump model available on the market.
Is the sound of the water flow loud?
The sound created by flowing water can resemble a small waterfall or a gentle stream. Depending on whether you want a calm or more dynamic atmosphere, we can adjust the natural sound level of your water wall to be louder or quieter.
For a livelier sound, similar to a small waterfall, we simply leave a few centimeters between the bottom of the panel and the water level, which creates a falling-water effect.
For a softer and quieter ambiance, you should choose a water wall with a smooth, low-relief surface. Glass, mirror, or flat mineral finishes are ideal for creating a gentle and discreet water sound.
Can the water flow be adjusted?
With a small remote control, you can adjust the water flow of your water wall whenever you wish.
At any time, you can fine-tune both the visual effect and the intensity of the water flow.
What is the energy consumption of a water wall?
The energy consumption of a water wall depends mainly on how often it is used, its size, and the quality of its components.
To ensure responsible energy use, Odzo equips its decorative water walls with high-quality, low-consumption components. As an indication, a water wall uses an average of 50 watts including lighting, which represents an annual cost of about 65 dollars.
Does installing a water wall require major construction work?
Many people assume that installing a water wall involves heavy construction. In reality, it does not. You can bring a beautiful natural feature into your reception area without altering your décor or carrying out any structural work.
Odzo offers freestanding structures that are completely independent from walls and floors. Simply choose the ideal location for your water wall, and we take care of the installation. All our water walls are fully custom-made in our workshop near Paris.
Installation is usually completed in a single day and does not require your business to close or pause its activity.
For example, you can view our installation created for our client L’Occitane.
Is a water supply required?
No, you can absolutely install a water wall in a space that does not have access to a water connection. This is often the case for rented water walls used at prestigious events such as weddings, receptions, or trade shows, where the venue does not provide a water hookup.
If you want to add an electronic water-level regulator to compensate for evaporation, you will, however, need a water drain. This drain is important to safely remove excess water in case the regulator malfunctions.
A drain can also be used to empty the system and make maintenance easier. While a water supply is not mandatory, it can be helpful for long-term installations.
Do you need to turn off the water wall at night?
No, it is not necessary to turn off the water wall during the night. To reduce maintenance, we actually recommend leaving it running continuously.
When your decorative water wall stays active, the water flow promotes constant oxygenation and prevents unpleasant odors from developing. However, if you prefer to turn it off at night, effective solutions exist to preserve the water quality. You can install a filtration system with a UV lamp to keep the water clean even when the wall is not operating.
Deionization systems can also be installed on a home or office water network to solve issues related to water that is too high in mineral content, especially limestone.
What maintenance does a water wall require?
Water wall maintenance is simple and quick. Here are the steps to follow to keep your water wall in perfect condition. When you purchase your water wall, we explain again how it works and show you the easiest way to clean it.
Regular maintenance:
For glass and mirror water walls, stop the water flow using the remote control. Then clean the glass surface with a standard glass cleaner and a soft cloth. On average, plan for one cleaning every three weeks, depending on your space.
Make sure to clean the glass before dust or mineral deposits appear. For mineral-surface water walls, maintenance is limited to cleaning the basin, as the stone surface does not require cleaning.
Quarterly maintenance:
We recommend emptying the basin every three months to remove any residue that may have accumulated at the bottom. This is very simple: remove the drain plug and rinse the entire system with clean water. If your model does not have a built-in drain, use a water vacuum to empty it.
